New Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme

JudoScotland have received several enquiries regarding Enhanced Disclosure Scotland applications

and the new PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.

As the new PVG Scheme is now live, the Central Registered Body in Scotland no longer process the

old Enhanced Disclosure Scotland applications.

JudoScotland will soon be receiving their training in the new scheme following which all relevant

details will be posted here.

Should you have an urgent query regarding the new scheme or an outstanding application please

contact Tony Penfold at the JudoScotland office.

Coaches: Are Your Credentials Up To Date?

With the competition circuit about to resume in earnest coaches should check the expiry date of their coach cards to avoid the disappointment of being refused mat-side access.

Please remember that it is your responsibility to notify us when your card has expired, to have attended a revalidation event and to ensure that your JudoScotland membership is current.

If it is left to the last minute there will be no guarantee that a new card will get processed in time.

Coaches should also be reminded that if your coaching licence has expired you will not be protected by the insurance cover that accompanies it.

If your card has expired then please contact Tony Penfold at the JudoScotland office at your earliest convenience.

It is also a coach’s responsibility to ensure that both your First Aid Certificate and Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate are kept up to date. Both of these courses are usually provided by your Local Authority; check out our Events Calendar  for courses in your area.
