Congratulations to George Kerr 10th Dan

On behalf of the Board of JudoScotland and its members I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to George Kerr on his promotion to 10th Dan at the weekend. This is fantastic news and I cannot think of a greater accolade of achievement and acknowledgement of a life dedication to Judo. From a personal point of view, and I’m sure for many others as well, George has been someone held in awe and respect for his knowledge of Judo, his contacts in Japan and across the world and indeed all the stories and anecdotes of life in Japan and since.

There are many articles in today’s newspapers and radio so I would encourage you to google George Kerr and read about the Scottish Judoka who has achieved so much and influenced so many people over the years.

Congratulations George on being awarded your Ju dan – be proud, as we are of you!
