JudoScotland officially became a Limited Company on 30th August 1988, and we are celebrating with 30 facts about Judo-in-Scotland. 

If you following us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, you may have seen some of our celebrations and taken you on a trip down memory lane. Here is a quick overview of our celebrations so far:

Day 2 - The National Training Centre opened at EICA-Ratho in January 2004

Day 3 - 'The Gathering' was awarded 'Best Education Seminar 2017' by European Judo Union.

Day 4 - Ted Routley graded the first ever Dan Grades in Scotland. 

Day 5 - In 2010, George Kerr CBE was awarded his 10th Dan by International Judo Federation. 

Day 6 - In 2010, our National High Performance Coach, Euan Burton was awarded an MBE for his services to judo. 

 Day 7 - Stonehaven Judo Club was established in 1981.
