Foresters Disability Hub Judoka Takes First Steps Towards the National Special Olympics

Posted: 29/09/2015

Foresters Disability Hub Judoka, Jack Myles, won two bronze medals as this year’s Lothian Special Olympics Festival of Sport 2015. The event, which is a regional qualification event for the National Special Olympics in Sheffield next year, saw athletes compete from across the country in a variety of different sports.

The Foresters Disability Hub, which is supported by Active Schools and Scottish Disability Sport, gives individuals with disability the opportunity to participate in sport, by providing open, modified, parallel and discrete sports options appropriate to their individual needs abilities and environment.

Jack, who is the first judo player from Foresters Disability Judo Hub to take part in any competitive judo event, said that the highlight of his day was getting the chance to make lots of new friends. Well done Jack keep up the good work.
