Sally Conway and Sam Ingram Announced as JudoScotland AmbassadorsPosted: 09/02/2017
JudoScotland are pleased to announce that Scotland's First Olympic Judo Medallist Sally Conway and two-time Paralympic Medallist Sam Ingram will be acting as JudoScotland Ambassadors in 2017.
The 2016 Rio Olympic Games cemented Sally’s place in the history books when she became Scotland’s first Judo Olympic medallist. Throughout qualification for the Games Sally demonstrated hard work, determination and humility to secure her place on Team GB and ultimately her historic Bronze medal.
Currently ranked 6th in the world Sally has worked hard for her success and is a regular to the medal podium on the IJF World Tour.

Since his Paralympic debut in Beijing 2008, Sam has been no stranger to the medal podium first winning Bronze in Beijing and then Silver in London 2012 in the under 90kg category. Last summer’s Paralympics in Rio marked Sam’s third consecutive Games where he finished just outside a medal in fifth place. Sam’s consistent performance has secured his position as the most decorated athlete on the British Judo Paralympic Programme.
In 2015 Sam took Gold at the IBSA World Cup, Hungary and Silver at the IBSA World Games.
