JudoScotland is Excited to Launch the JudoMark Club Accreditation Scheme.

Posted: 05/06/2015

There are many choices for sports providers, parents and children throughout all communities when looking for Judo or any sporting opportunity. By being able to demonstrate sound governance, leadership and also a commitment to continued development and improvement, a Club can show that they provide a safe and welcoming environment that values their members.

JudoMARK is an excellent resource for all Clubs to ensure that best practice and progressive development is on-going, resulting in a safe and effective environment for all members and the Club to realise any potential.

The process ensures that a Club maintains strict and consistent operating standards with regard to all elements of running a Club, from the maintenance of relevant coaching qualifications to facility risk assessments.

JudoScotland is delighted – alongside sportscotland, the national agency for sport - to endorse this Club accreditation scheme and is committed to supporting all Clubs in Scotland to achieve JudoMARK status. Any Club working towards the achievement of this award will demonstrate a solid infrastructure designed to serve the needs of its members, support local sports development and will meet the minimum required standards of its Governing Body.

To support Clubs in Scotland through the process is a team of motivated and enthusiastic professionals within the Development Team at JudoScotland. Having researched various schemes in preparation for launching JudoMARK, the team are well placed to provide support and assistance to all Clubs. Led by the Regional Development Officers, this team are the first point of contact and will support and guide the Club through the process. However the support doesn’t end after certification, this is just the start. JudoScotland offers ongoing support and initiatives to maintain the standards of the JudoMARK accreditation.

Whilst working towards the award, Clubs will benefit from various initiatives driven by JudoScotland aimed to promote the development of its members and increase overall participation across the country. A full range of the benefits associated with being a member of the JudoMARK scheme is available from the JudoScotland Development Team.
