The Scottish Open 2018 is set to bigger and better than ever! Not only will it be hosted at a new venue, the world class Emirates Arena, there will also be a number of exciting Judo Sessions running in parallel!

The Scottish Open Championship 2018

The Scottish open Championship sees Scotland’s top Judoka face competitors from home and abroad, providing an exciting weekend of Competitive Judo.

This year’s ahead of Glasgow hosting the Veteran European Judo Championships in 2018, JudoScotland, with the input of the British Masters Commission, has extended the number of categories for Master competitors at The Scottish Open 2018.

Sunday 21st January 2018

Training Camp

10.00am – 12.00pm

Sunday morning will see a training camp being run for those that competed at Saturday’s event. This session is free of charge to those that competed on Saturday, all you need to do is let us know if you are coming.

Competition Rules Update

10:00am – 1:00pm

There is something for everyone at the Scottish Open and as such we are running a competition rules update for all referees and coaches. This event will act as a revalidation and is free of charge.

The Gathering Session with Yusuke Kanamaru

1:00pm – 3:00pm

Yusuke Kanamaru, All Japan Champion, Kano Cup Champion, Tournoi de Paris Champion, World Silver, World Bronze and coach to judo superstar Shohei Ono, will be hosting a session featuring one hour’s technical session followed by an hour’s randori.

The cost of this incredible session is £20 (£10 for those who competed on Saturday) and is expected to be very popular, make sure to book your space now before you miss out.
