SUMMARY:Level 2 Coaching in Judo
DESCRIPTION:Our only Level 2 course of 2022 will be at the National Sports Training Centre Inverclyde on the 10th & 11th and 17th and 18th of June 2023 with the assessment completed remotely/video by the 15th of September 2023. Please ensure when signing up for this course you are able to attend all of the dates shown above. \n\nThe course will be residential at Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre. You will be provided with lunch and dinner on Saturday with overnight accommodation in a shared twin room and on Sunday breakfast and lunch. There will be modules running for a short time on the Saturday evenings. \n\nThe course has already had the coaching subsidy applied which means we can reduce the cost of the course by 60% to *£160 for clubs and coaches who are JudoScotland members. SUMMARY:Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer (CWPO) Training: Virtual Workshop
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer (CWPO) Training \nLaunched spring 2019\, this workshop replaces ‘In Safe Hands 1 & 2’. The workshop is suitable for individuals responsible for leading their club or organisation in the wellbeing and protection of children and young people. Learners will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills to manage concerns through the use of interactive case studies and group work. \nSuitable for: Child Wellbeing and Protection Officers or those in a similar role who are aged 18+ yrs. \nPrerequisites:  Learners must have completed both modules of the Child Wellbeing & Protecting Children (CWPO) or SPC. \nWorkshop aims: \n\nTo provide participants with the opportunity to further develop skills in fulfilling their role as Child Protection Officer\nTo provide the opportunity for Child Protection Officers to explore\, in more detail\, the type of well being and protection concerns that may arise for children and young people within\, or outwith\, the SGB\, club environment and how to respond effectively\nTo help SGB/clubs implement practices and procedures to keep children and young people safe.\n\nLearning Outcomes: \nBy the end of the workshop participants will be able to: \n\nConfidently assess the suitability of an individual to work with children and young people.\nUnderstand legal responsibilities relating to PVG checks or referrals to Disclosure Scotland and identify who is responsible for this in their setting.\nRespond effectively to wellbeing and protection concerns that may arise in or out-with the club environment.\nRecognise ways in which club culture influences the wellbeing and protection of children and identify methods for effecting cultural change in this important area.\n\nTopics: \nRecruitment and selection \nResponding to child protection and well-being concerns \nInformation sharing \nFact finding and case referrals \nAn introduction to PVG \nWhen you receive your booking confirmation you will also receive a zoom meeting link for the course.[/vc_column_text][vc_button border_width=”0″ link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fjudoscotland.justgo.com%2Fworkbench%2Fpublic%2Fevents%3Fref%3DE2256DAFDA355692A40545D4AB0DA7F243778C96|target:_blank” uncode_shortcode_id=”118149″]Book Your Space[/vc_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
