JudoScotland Update: Thursday 1 October 2020Posted: 01/10/2020
Recognising the reported increase in the coronavirus reproduction (‘R’) number, JudoScotland welcomed the update provided by the First Minister earlier today, where no additional coronavirus-related restrictions were announced with regard to Sport in Scotland.
Regrettably the rules covering indoor contact sports - including Judo - for those aged 12 and above have not been relaxed at this time. The First Minister had indicated last month that this was likely to be the case. This situation will be reviewed again on 15 October.
Therefore, there is no change to the current JudoScotland ‘Return to Sport’ guidance, which is available HERE.
At the present time everyone’s health and wellbeing remains the most pressing priority and we would ask all judoka to do what they can to continue to suppress the spread of the virus.
