Transition Programme: Application Process OpenPosted: 02/03/2017
Applications are now being accepted for the JudoScotland National Transition Programme. This is a semi-centralised programme for athletes aged 17-23 designed to support the transition of players from club to national programme environments. The programme will also support the transfer of players to the BJA WCPP(World Class Performance Programme) to achieve Olympic and Paralympic success. The semi-centralisedformat allows player programmes to be delivered both centrally and regionally whilst being nationally coordinated.
Any player that wishes to be considered for the programme should complete the online application form. Closing date for applications is 31st March 2017. This will then be followed by an assessment phase in April, selections in May with the programme commencing in June.
Please Note that this programme is for aspiring elite level judoka and as such will place a high demand on athletes in terms of training volume, intensity and programme commitment. There will be a robust interview, physical competency screening & judo assessment process which all applicants would be expected to undertake as part of their application.
