Club Affiliation

Affiliate Your Club

Judo clubs operating within Scotland should be affiliated to the British Judo Association (BJA) to take advantage of benefits such as insurance cover and club marketing and will ensure your club has the support, opportunities and relevant insurance to run a successful club.

For your reference, please note that all Clubs should affiliate to BJA on an annual basis by 31st March, to ensure they have the relevant coverage and insurance at all times.

To register a club with the British Judo Association you will need to ensure that you meet the requirements below:

Coaching One valid UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent) or above coach

*coach must be valid with all requirements in date

Applicant to specify name of head coach, coaching level and licence number in club application
Club Officials · Chairperson

· Secretary

·  Treasurer

·  Club Welfare Officer

· Details of other club coaches

Applicant to specify name, address, email and telephone number in club application. The chair, secretary and treasurer should be three different people and all Committee members should have a valid JudoScotland licence (please ensure that this is checked prior to applying).
Governance

 

Club has a Constitution Applicant to attach document to application.
Health and Safety Club agrees to adhere to the minimum standards outlined in the British Judo Association Safelandings documents, appendix 4. Declaration on application
Venue Risk Assessment Risk Assessment has been carried out to assess the venue suitability for Judo Declaration on application
Mat Specification Mats must comply with standards outlined in the British Judo Association Safelandings documents, appendix 4. Declaration on application
Data Protection Club agrees to operate in accordance to the GDPR (see guidance for clubs) Declaration on application
Adoption of BJA policies Club agrees to abide by the Articles of Association and Bye-Laws, Child Protection Procedures and Equity and Diversity policy Declaration on application
