Get Involved in Judo This Summer with Summer of Sport

JudoScotland is delighted to support clubs across Scotland through Summer of Sport funding, creating exciting opportunities for young people to get active, try judo, and enjoy the benefits of sport this summer.
Choosing a new sport can sometimes feel overwhelming, with so many activities to choose from. Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, develop physical literacy, build confidence, or simply become more active, judo could be the perfect sport for you.
Judo is a truly inclusive sport, welcoming participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. While many people will be familiar with it as one of ten sports at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, judo offers much more than competition. At its heart is a strong moral code built on the values of courtesy, courage, honesty, honour, modesty, self-control, friendship, and respect. These qualities help participants develop important life skills both on and off the mat.
We are proud to play our part in helping more young people discover judo, build confidence, learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of an active lifestyle as we celebrate a fantastic summer of sport.
