The sportscotland Institute of Sport Performance Programme aims to support international tour medal winning judoka to meet selection criteria for European Championships (JNR/U23/Senior), World Championship (JNR/Senior) & Olympic Games.
Entry Process
SIS Performance supported judoka will have a result profile that evidences their ability to be selected for GBR for major championships.
Currently, that profile would be:
Juniors – Junior European Cup Medallist (*Cadet European Cup Medallist for Junior 1 judoka)
U23’s – Senior European Cup Medallist (*Junior European Cup Medallist for Senior 1 Judoka)
Seniors – *Currently Senior European Cup Medallist (Will move to Senior European Open Medallist in 2024) or IJF Grand Prix or Grand Slam Top 7 placing.
Programme Expectation
Judoka will be utilising the financial support provided to meet selection criteria for Major Championships.
Judoka will be communicating regularly with the Performance Programme Head Coach regarding their event planning.
Judoka will make themselves available to compete in the Scottish National Championships, Scottish Open & for Scotland in the National Team Championships wherever possible.
