Child Wellbeing

Child Wellbeing & Protection in Sport

As a judo coach in Scotland it is a requirement to attend a Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport course every three years. Currently this course is offered within a virtual classroom which means you can take part in this awareness course from the comfort of your own home. The course is now offered from sportscotland but can be accessed through a number of sporting governing bodies.

Course

At the end of the third year both JudoScotland and BJA will accept a renewal course in Safeguarding and Protection of Children in Sport which will have to be renewed in turn with attendance at a full course as described above. For more information on this course please visit British Judo.

Please follow the link below, this will take you to the sportscotland website, find a date for the ‘virtual workshop’ that suits you and click the link to register for the course of your choice. The content is of a generic nature that suits coaches from a number of sports.
