JudoScotland is proud to launch the Scottish Judo Trust, a new independent charity dedicated to helping more people across Scotland access and benefit from judo.
Established by JudoScotland and governed by an independent board of charity trustees, the Trust will support projects that remove barriers to participation and create opportunities for more people to get involved in the sport. Funding will focus on initiatives that increase access to judo for those who may face challenges taking part, including young people, women and girls, people with disabilities, those experiencing financial hardship, and remote or underrepresented communities.
Offering grants of between £100 and £1,500, the Trust is founded on the belief that relatively small amounts of funding can make a significant difference. Grants may support equipment, participation costs, outreach activity, coach development and projects that introduce new people to judo.
Applications will be open to JudoScotland-affiliated clubs and members, with funding awarded throughout the year through a simple and accessible application process.
The launch of the Scottish Judo Trust represents an important step in JudoScotland’s commitment to making judo more accessible, inclusive and sustainable, helping more people experience the physical, social and personal benefits of sport.
Further information on eligibility, funding criteria and application deadlines will be available on the Scottish Judo Trust website.
