Why?

Why do I need to be part of the PVG scheme?

It helps to ensure that people who are unsuitable to work with vulnerable people in regulated work (such as Coaches, Club Welfare Officer or regular Club Volunteers) are prevented from doing so.

How?

How do I join the PVG scheme or apply for an update?

  1. Email clubs@judoscotland.com to request a PVG application stating if this is a new or existing member update.
  2. JudoScotland issues a PVG request form. complete the form and return to clubs@judoscotland.com along with your ID.
  3. JudoScotland contacts Volunteer Scotland and submits PVG online application request.
  4. Disclosure Scotland email link to confirm applicants details (payment if applicable). This must be completed within 7 days.
  5. Your PVG certificate will be posted to both you and Judo Scotland (we will update our member records)
