Female Voices: JudoScotland Open Call

March 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm GMT

We would like to hear from the female members of the Scottish judo community as we explore how to best develop, support and grow females experience and engagement with judo.

WHAT – an open call discussion group on the growth of female participation in judo

WHY – we want this discussion to be led by female-voices so that we can make the best decisions for women and girls inspired by women and girls

WHEN – our open-call will be on Wednesday 27th March 2024, 6-7pm

We know that females continue to be underrepresented in sport and that there is a need to examine why girls drop out at an early age. We know that there are a variety of benefits to long-term engagement with sport but various barriers continue to get in the way of retaining girls in judo.’

The purpose of this call is to hear from you, our female population, who each have a diverse range of experiences within judo. This call would be relevant to you as a player, ex-player, coach, club volunteer, referee, official or parent/guardian.

GET INVOLVED

If you would like to be involved in the Microsoft Teams call please REGISTER HERE. If you have any further questions feel free to get in touch with Laura Kirkhouse at laurakirkhouse@judoscotland.com.

If you cannot make the call but would like to have a discussion about female participation please get in touch and we can arrange another time to talk.
