The Scottish Open Judo Championship is set to make a triumphant return to the sportscotland National Centre in Inverclyde on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th January 2026, marking an exciting start to the new year.
As anticipation builds ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Scottish Open promises to deliver a weekend of thrilling judo. Recognised as the premier judo open in the UK, the event consistently attracts judoka from around the globe, offering a dynamic showcase of skill, strength, and sportsmanship.

If you are intending to coach matside for the Scottish Open this month you must have a coaching pass for the event.
Eligible Scottish coaches can book a coaching pass via JustGo, any other Home Nations or International coaches must email events@judoscotland.com to confirm your coaching qualifications and receive a coaching pass.
As highlighted in ‘Three Steps Safe’ only valid coaches can receive matside accreditation, please do not put staff and volunteers in the difficult position of refusing you matside access without a pass.
Please ensure you have booked your coaching pass by 12pm on Tuesday 13th January.
